The Buckingham Fitness Story

Growing up I was always playing sports: basketball, football, soccer, baseball, bowling, tennis, swimming, you name it.

I had a very successful high school career in basketball, football, and soccer, garnering many accolades and school records which eventually lead me to play both basketball and football in college, but...

During my freshman year of college basketball I broke my ischial tuberosity, tore my hamstring, and herniated my L4-L5 disc...OUCH. This lead to 45+ lbs of weight gain, severe depression, and ultimately rock bottom...

Somehow, after months and months of struggling, physical therapy, and sheer stubbornness, things got better. Through Stage Combat (a theatre class I took) and a whole lot of "figure it out", I lost over 50lbs (thanks to conscious eating and light exercise!), but didn't really know what I wanted to do now that sports were gone...

I fell in love with my theatre class and stunts which lead into acting and ultimately my big move to Atlanta, GA (#1 in the world for movie & television productions!). But my love for fitness and health never went away...

I decided to start my own personal training business in March of 2018 and it's been an incredible ride these last 2+ years. I am thankful for the journey so far and cannot wait to see where it leads me in the future.
